Police identify victim of fatal hit and run crash on Greenleaf Boulevard

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Police have identified the victim that killed in a hit-and-run crash on Friday in Elkhart. The crash left another teen seriously injured.

Blaine Fisher, an 18-year-old resident of Elkhart, was hit while on a bike and was pronounced dead at the scene, officers said.

The other victim, an 18-year-old from Elkhart, was hit while riding his skateboard. He had to be transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the area for a hit-and-run accident with injuries on the 3000 block of Greenleaf Boulevard around 11:10 p.m. on Friday.

The suspect is believed to be driving a white Dodge Ram pickup truck, and it is believed to be diesel, according to officers. The truck should have damage to the front passenger side. The headlight on the passenger side also might not work due to damage during the crash.
