Just before 9:30 Thursday morning, police were called to the First Source Bank on State Road 23 in Granger for a robbery report.
Police say the robber handed the bank teller a note.
Customers were inside the bank at the time, but none of them were affected.
First responders say the alleged robber took between $1,000 and $2,000 worth of cash with him.
“Throughout the community, we see these things. Banks are located in high-traffic areas commonly, not necessarily indicative of anything. A concern we have is that it's located near the state line. It's a possibility that somebody came from Michigan and went back quickly,” says Assistant Chief Bill Thompson of the St. Joseph County Police.
