FBS names two ND players for Player of the Week

The Fighting Irish have more to celebrate than just their back-to-back wins. Two players have earned Player of the Week of honors.
Sophomore quarterback Everett Golson has been named the FBS independent offensive player of the week. Golson completed 21 of 31 passes for 289 yards against Purdue on Saturday.
Junior cornerback Bennett Jackson earned defensive honors. He picked up two interceptions for the Irish, including one on Purdue's final drive.
Both Golson and Jackson are first time honorees.
