Feed the Hungry: South Bend distributes meals to local homeless shelters

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Feed the Hungry: South Bend held an event Saturday to prepare and distribute meals to local homeless shelters.

Non-profit "Pious Projects of America" teamed up with the Islamic Society of America for their 7th Annual "Feed the Hungry: South Bend" event on Saturday.

Their goal was to distribute at least 2,000 meals to our local homeless shelters.

Each meal was equipped with a sandwich, water bottle, granola bar, and/or fruit.

Funds were also being accepted and will be used towards future purchases of ingredients and supplies.
