INDIANAPOLIS - Millions of federal dollars for disaster relief are coming to Indiana.

Governor Mike Braun announced that FEMA has approved $2.1 million in aid for those impacted by August 2026 disaster. This is within the first week a disaster declaration was approved by President Trump. 

“Thanks to President Trump, in coordination with our state and federal partners, financial aid is being delivered at a rapid pace to survivors of this disaster,” said Gov. Braun. “Thousands of Hoosiers have been impacted, and my administration remains fully committed to ensuring survivors receive the support and resources they need throughout the recovery process.”

The governor's office says the U.S. Small Business Administration has made low interest disaster loans available for Indiana businesses.

The deadline to apply for FEMA’s individual assistance is Oct. 25, 2026.
