Fernwood Gardens attracts visitors for National Get Outdoors Day

NILES, Mich. -- Saturday was a great day to enjoy the outdoors!
Many people spent "National Get Outdoors Day" at Fernwood Botanical Gardens.
They were having a little celebration to try and get people away from the tv and into the sunshine!
Fernwood had several different activities going on today including an edible wild plants class.
"So many of us spend so much time indoors...it's getting to the point where you really have to draw children to the outdoors," said Steve Vornell, Fernwood Gardens.
And, it was a beautiful day to get married!
The gardens also hosted a wedding this afternoon.
