Fifth judge accepts appointment in AG Rokita's lawsuit against SJCPD

ABC 57

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Judge Jenny Mainer has accepted her appointment as the special judge in Attorney General Todd Rokita's lawsuit against the St. Joseph County Police Department.

Manier was the fifth assigned special judge in this case.

Rokita brought the suit against the department in January, accusing St. Joseph County of upholding sanctuary city policies and not complying with ICE detainer requests.

Sheriff Bill Redman strongly refutes these claims.

SJCPD could still request to change the judge.
