Fighting Irish fall to UNC Tar Heels

The Fighting Irish's run in the NCAA postseason tournament has come to an end.

The team battled back against big opponents; beating Michigan, scraping by with the win against S-F Austin, and toppling the Badgers to make it to the Elite 8.

But in an ACC matchup in the city of brotherly love, the Irish couldn't hold onto a lead long enough to come away with the win. The UNC Tar Heels put up 88 points to the Irish's 74.

Notre Dame Forward V.J. Beachum tells ABC 57 the loss stings, because they made it all the way back to the Elite 8 again this year, but stopped short of a Final Four ticket.
