NOTRE DAME. Ind. -- Spring practice is underway for the Irish.

The men's football team took the field Wednesday in preparation for the season.

Last year the team had a rough season with a 9 and 4 record.

ABC57 talked with head coach Brian Kelly after Wednesday's practice and he said they are focused on themselves and setting their sights on another a national championship.

"Our guys are so focused on their own deal right now and getting their own position down and getting their own house in order, so there's a lot of things going on that I think really what's most important is that we've got a handle on our personnel," said Coach Kelly.

They hope to spend the month of June developing team leaders.
