Fire at Burger King in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. – A fire broke out at a Burger King on the corner of Nappanee Street and West Indiana Avenue Tuesday afternoon. 

The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m.

The building is a total loss, according to the Elkhart Fire Department.

Firefighters say the fire started in a wall, but they are still investigating the cause.

The fire has been extinguished.

CR 16 eastbound will be closed until the fire department clears the scene.
