Fire crews at scene of house fire on Napier Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — South Bend fire crews were on the scene of a house fire in the 800 block of West Napier Street around 3:15 this morning.

According to firefighters one person was inside the home, but made it out ok.

They say crews tried to get inside the home, but it was too hot so they attacked it from the outside.

The battalion chief says he thinks the home is a total loss.

Investigators still haven't determined the cause of the blaze.
