Fire crews battle early morning fire

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. — A portion of Fir Road was closed down as fire crews battled an early morning house fire in St. Joseph County.
Firefighters believe that the fire started in the chimney. They also said that the majority of the damage was contained to the first floor.
A fire also started within the walls of the home, but crews were able to put it out.
Investigators are still trying to figure out an exact cause of the fire.
