Fire crews contain blaze at two-story house in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Investigators are trying to figure out what sparked of a house fire on East Eckman Street, just south of downtown South Bend.

Crews were called out to the two-story home around 6:30 Wednesday morning. The people who live in the home were able to get out in time.

There was not much visible damage to the outside of the home.

The chief on duty told ABC57 they were able to contain the fire to the second story, but there was some smoke damage.
