Fire crews respond to house fire near Cleveland Road; No injuries

Clay Fire Territory responded to a house fire Monday evening after a fire broke out on the second floor of the home.

The fire happened around 6:39 p.m. in the 53000 block of Bajer Lane off of Cleveland Road.

Fire crews arrived on scene within minutes of being dispatched and say flames were visible from the 2nd floor window.

The home was occupied at the time of the fire but all occupants were able to exit the house safely.

Firefighters extinguished the fire within minutes of arrival.

No injuries were reported.

Fire crews say the fire started in a 2nd floor bedroom and was contained to that bedroom.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
