SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A fire broke out at the Center for Homeless on Monday, August 21 around 5:20 p.m., causing all residents to be evacuated.
ABC57 got news around 5:50 p.m. that apart from smoke, the fire has been contained and almost all fire engines have been dismissed.
A fire engine, fire truck and a few fire investigators remained, but everything was under control.
The area was mostly cleared with some apparatuses blocking traffic.
No injuries were reported.
ABC57 will keep you updated with any information as this situation unfolds.

The fire was caused by a blockage in the air duct.
