Fire evacuees return home temporarily

SOUTH FORK, Colo. -- Those forced out of their homes by the Colorado wildfires are getting a chance to go home but not for long.

The trio of wildfires burning in the West Fork Complex is the highest priority.

Officials allowed some back home to collect belongings left in the rush to evacuate.

Those affected say they are thankful for a chance to save some of their things.

"We're hoping we'll get his truck out plus a lot of equipment out of the dance hall there," said evacuee Dave Speer.

The fire has burned more than 75,000 acres.
