Fire reported at Goshen retirement community

Goshen Fire responded to a fire at the Greencroft Goshen, a retirement community on Greencroft Boulevard, around 10:15 a.m. Friday.
The fire was in an apartment at the community.
When firefighters arrived the fire had already been extinguished by Greencroft staff. The resident sustained injuries in the fire.
The resident was taken by ambulance to Goshen Municipal Airport, then airlifted to St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
There was minimal damage to the apartment.
The fire is under investigation.
