Firefighter hurt in South Bend house fire

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — At a house fire in South Bend Wednesday morning, a firefighter suffered first degree burns.
The fire sparked around 3 a.m. on Grandview Avenue.
The battalion chief says at least one firefighter has been taken to the hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.
The nearby Kankakee intersection was blocked off.
