Firefighters extinguish fire in detached garage at home on Helmen Drive

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A detached garage was heavily damaged in a fire Tuesday morning.
Firefighters responded to a home in the 1300 block of Helmen Drive, just off Edison Road, around noon.
The garage was heavily damaged in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
