ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department responded to a report of fireworks stolen from a local shop on Saturday and the suspects are still at large.

The call came in from Jake's Fireworks at 800 Wagner Avenue around 8:28 a.m. on May 17.

"Complainants (employees) reported that unknown suspect(s) broke into two semi-trailers containing fireworks by cutting open the locks and took product from each trailer -- occurring between approximately 7:15 p.m. on May 16 and 8:18 a.m. on May 17. Suspect(s) also cut the chain on the front gate as well."
