First baby of 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland

Corewell Health Lakeland ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital welcomes their first baby born in the year of 2026 at on January 1 at 1:28 a.m.
Parents Angelica M. Murcia and Khirus Delaney Sr. welcome their first baby together, a boy they named Drextan, who weighed in at 6 lbs and 4 oz and is 20.75 inches long.
While Drextan's original expected date was December 23, 2025, the hospital says Drextan and Mom are doing well.
