SOUTH BEND, Ind. – First Fridays is back in South Bend with music and entertainment at a downtown event that lasts until 8 p.m. on Friday.
Despite the rainy conditions, the event will go on as planned.
And although it is the day after the holiday, the Director of Marketing & Events for downtown South Bend, Kylie Carter, says nothing will change.
“It’s interesting,” Carter said. “A lot of people do go out of town for the 4th of July weekend but a lot of people have family come in town. At this point they’re looking for something to do. So we’re here to provide something to do in downtown.”
Carter is expecting six to eight thousand people to attend, regardless of weather.
