ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Jason Kring, a Michiana Crime Stoppers board member, became the first republican to register as a candidate for the county council seat of District E of St. Joseph County.
"It's exciting. I think we need to put an end to uncontested races and have a true democracy, trying to find a better way and make things for our county,” said Kring
Kring will face democratic incumbent Diana Hess for the District E county council seat in November.
