First wave of students head back to school in South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Back to school is in full swing as some of the first schools held classes today. Paramount School of Excellence was one, with doors showing a newly renovated school.
School Director Ravi Nolan noted students and parents alike walking in in awe. Students tall and small grabbed a free breakfast before going to class, parents registered their child for one of the open seats still left and faculty greeted the two with warm smiles on the warm morning.
The new space shows how much new stuff the kids have to look forward to, such as new friends now that the school's capacity has almost tripled. One 8th grade English Language Arts teacher saying the early calendar allows the teacher to get to know their students better. Teachers will not only know what a student is lacking in test wise, but how to address the student's gap and move forward.
Students and faculty alike are excited for the new school year.
