Five Michigan businesses issued emergent suspensions of liquor licenses

LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Liquor Control Commission has issued emergency suspensions of the liquor licenses and permits for five more businesses across southern Michigan.

These emergency suspensions were issued due to multiple violations of the current Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Emergency Order on Gatherings and Face Masks.

The five businesses include:

  • Powell’s Pub
  • Mike’s Sports Page
  • Brooklyn’s
  • Plymouth’s ROC Restaurant
  • Sahara Restaurant

The licensees named are scheduled to appear before an Administrative Law Judge on December 30, 2020, for a virtual hearing via Zoom to determine whether this summary suspension should continue, or other fines and penalties should be imposed.
