SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The five-year-old who was accidentally shot by his nine-year-old relative on Saturday has died, the South Bend Police Department announced.
The family of the victim, identified as Kyler Jackson, announced that he died shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate the incident but as of right now, the shooting is still believed to be an accident.
