Flags in Indiana and Michigan ordered to half-staff for Memorial Day

The governors of Indiana and Michigan have both ordered businesses and residents in their respective states to lower state and US flags to half-staff on Monday in honor of Memorial Day.

These orders from Governor Holcomb and Governor Whitmer instruct that flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise until noon on Memorial Day.

"On Memorial Day, we remember the brave Americans who served our nation in uniform and made the ultimate sacrifice. These are our neighbors, family, and friends who signed up to put their lives on the line so the rest of us could love in peace and enjoy the freedoms we all hold dear,” said Governor Whitmer.
