Flight attendant was allegedly intoxicated on flight from Chicago to South Bend
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (ABC)—A flight attendant on a United Express flight from Chicago to South Bend was fired and is now facing charges after allegedly being intoxicated while in flight on August 2.
Passengers reported seeing flight attendant Julianne March, 49, having trouble balancing and not getting up during the flight.
When the plane landed in South Bend, officers boarded the plane and began questioning March.
A Breathalyzer test showed that her BAC was 0.204, five times over the limit for flight attendants.
The United Express flight was being operated by Air Wisconsin and an Air Wisconsin crew at the time of the incident.
March was fired following the incident and was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on suspicion of public intoxication.
According to court records, March is due in court on August 29.
