Flood clean-up continues 1 week later

It has been exactly one week since Michiana saw historic rainfall. All of that rain left streets closed, homes flooded, and many people having to clean up a mess.

A week later and some residents still need help to get back on their feet. The Red Cross office in South Bend has a busy week ahead. They have changed their office hours from Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. to better serve flood victims.

Throughout the week Red Cross volunteers will go through about 900 homes in St. Joseph County that were involved in the flood.

Anyone impacted by the flood and needing help are encouraged to call the Red Cross at (574) 234-0191.The Northern Indiana Chapter Office is located at 3220 E. Jefferson Boulevard in South Bend.
