The St. Joe, Elkhart and Yellow rivers will peak Thursday but stay above flood stage through the weekend as waters slowly recede. Record flood levels of more than 10 to almost 20 feet crest Thursday but will be slow to recede. Major to moderate flooding will continue through the first half of the weekend, waters are not forecast to drop below flood level until early next week, especially for the St.Joseph river at Niles.
