Flooding continues in Illinois

PEORIA, Ill. -- Illinois homeowners are still waiting for the floodwaters to recede thanks to record setting rains.

Sandbags line homes along the Illinois River. Those in Peoria are still in a flood warning and residents are preparing for more rain.

This next round of wet weather could send floodwaters to historic levels, some not seen since the 1940's.

"We've had a lot of close calls to that but this is the first time since, in 60 years that it's going to surpass that mark," said Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis.

Crews are assembling more sandbags and running pumps to save what they can.
