Florida man facing felony charge for filling up McDonald's water cup with $1 soda

NAPLES, Fla. -- In Florida a man is facing a felony charge for stealing soda.

He went into a local McDonald’s and asked for a courtesy cup so he could get water. Instead workers say he filled it with soda then refused to pay for it.

They called police and he got arrested. The drink was only worth a dollar. Now he's being held on a $6,500 bond.

The 52-year-old is facing a felony because of prior convictions. He could get five years in prison.
