Folks line the block for Empty Bowl Project

GOSHEN, Ind. – They were cooking up a storm in Goshen Saturday night. Hungry folks lined up for a huge helping of delicious soup for the Empty Bowl Project.

Those who bought a bowl got to take them home as a reminder that somewhere there is always someone with an empty one.

The event warmed the hearts of everyone involved. Jessica Kocher, a participant helping with the Empty Bowl Project says “we always feel so good. At the end of the night we're amazed that we can serve eight-hundred people in three hours a very humble meal and do so much good for the community."

Each of the bowls were hand-made by members of the Clay Artists Guild. All the money raised will go to the Interfaith Hospitality Network to help feed those right here at home.
