Food Bank of Northern Indiana releases September mobile distribution schedule

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana announced upcoming mobile food distribution dates from now through the month of September in Michiana.

Assorted food items will be offered free of charge.

All items will be pre-boxed and bagged and given out on a first come first serve basis while supplies last.

Combined, these distributions will serve over 1,700 families.

Distributions are drive through style and you're asked to remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items.

There will be an area available for self-loading if your trunk doesn't open.

Distribution dates:

  • Thursday, September 5 - 10 a.m. to noon CT at Apostolic Christian Church, 119 Vermont St. in LaCrosse
  • Wednesday, September 11 - 10 a.m. to noon ET at Charles Black Community Center, 3419 W. Washington St. in South Bend
  • Friday, September 13 - 9 to 11 a.m. CT at Knox United Methodist Church, 201 S. Shield St. in Knox
  • Wednesday, September 18 - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET at the former Helping Hands Food Pantry, 10072 West 600 S. in Mentone
  • Thursday, September 19 - 10 a.m. to noon CT at the Lions Club Stand, 400 Division St. in Hamlet
  • Friday, September 20 – 9 to 11 a.m. CT at HOPE Center, 3901 N. 675 West, Michigan City
  • Monday, September 23 - 10 a.m. to noon ET at East Goshen Mennonite Church, 2019 E. Lincoln Ave. in Goshen
  • Friday, September 27 - 10 a.m. to noon CT at First Church of God, 2020 E. Lincolnway in La Porte
  • Monday, September 30 - 9 to 11 a.m. ET at the former Bargain Lane, 1302 Elwood Ave. in South Bend
