ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. –– Today marked the first day of the 2020 fall season for various high school sports. The newly merged Elkhart High School football team was out this morning to kick off their first season.
Head football coach Josh Shattuck said he applauds the way the school and the health department have handled the safety procedures. Everyone who walks onto the practice field needs to answer COVID-19 related questions and get their temperature taken.
Even so, Shattuck said he wants his players to be aware of the importance of setting a standard in the team's first season.
