Ford recalls vehicles for child safety lock issues

Ford is recalling more than 13,000 cars and SUVs for child safety lock problems.

The automaker says the child safety locks may not work on the rear doors. They can be turned off when the doors are open or closed, which could allow a child to open the door from the inside.

The recall affects the 2013 Explorer, Taurus and Lincoln MKS models.

Owners can take their cars to a dealer for a test and a free replacement if needed.
