Calm morning, stormy afternoon
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A former Notre Dame football star, coming back to South Bend to help launch a new restaurant.
Jaylon Smith currently players linebacker for the Las Vegas Raiders, but he's leaving a lasting mark on Notre Dame's territory.
Smith is opening a new upscale ramen restaurant on Eddy Street, just off of Notre Dame's campus.
Smith grew up in Fort Wayne and just joined forces with Jinya Ramen Bar, that has 75 locations across the country, and he wanted to bring that flavor back home.
Jaylon Smith sat down with ABC57 Kickoff Host Vahid Sadrzadeh before the grand opening tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
You can see the full story about Smith's new business venture on the first installment of ABC57 Kickoff, right before the Irish host Texas A&M on Sept. 13.
