Former Irish football player Asaph Schwapp dies at 26

Former Notre Dame fullback Asaph Schwapp died Wednesday. Notre Dame says Schwapp lost his battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Schwapp played for the Irish from 2005 to 2007.

He signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2009 but was cut from the team before the season started.

Schwapp was 26 years old.
