Former Notre Dame Football Defensive Lineman, Louis Nix, is recovering in the hospital after being shot Tuesday night.
According to his Instagram page, the former Irish star was shot while pumping air in his tires at a gas station.
Nix attended Notre Dame from 2010 to 2013 and was drafted in National Football League in 2013.
Nix is originally from Jacksonville, Florida and played for the Jaguars but we have not confirmed if the shooting took place there.
