Former Wabash coroner arrested and booked in County Jail

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana State Police arrested 66-year-old Carol Nose, who is a former coroner for Wabash County, Thursday. She is booked in the Wabash County Jail.

Indiana Detective Maller initiated an investigation after Nose allegedly failed to turn over several files to the current coroner, which is required. Failing to turnover required documentation is called official misconduct.

Some of the files that were not turned over were found in Nose’s home by the detective.

According to ISP and Detective Maller, Nose failed to complete required documentation on over 300 cases.

Nose was the coroner in 2008 to 2016.
