Fort Wayne girl spends birthday honoring soldiers

FORT WAYNE, Ind. --- This weekend a girl in Fort Wayne spent her birthday giving back to soldiers from her community.
Her birthday wish was to give the soldiers a party for all they do for our country.
Several stores donated cookies, cupcakes, cake and punch so 8-year-old Jessica Crockett's wish could come true.
"I wanted to thank them because they do so much, they sacrifice their lives for us so I just wanted to do something nice for them," Crockett said.
Her third grade classmates also made handwritten notes for all of the soldiers.
