Four suspects arrested for not complying with sex and violent offender registry

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind.—Four suspects were arrested for being non-compliant with the sex and violent offender registry overnight on Saturday, according to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office.

Arthur Newkirk, 74, of Rolling Prairie, was arrested around 2:44 a.m.

Matthew Wunder, 42, of La Porte, was arrested around 3:45 a.m.

Robert Raymond, 35, of Michigan City was arrested around 4:15 a.m.

Harry Wilson, 50, of Michigan was arrested around 5:20 a.m.

According to police, all four subjects were taken to the LaPorte County Jail and each has been previously convicted of crimes that require them to remain compliant with the sex and violent offender registry.
