Four vehicles involved in a crash in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Four vehicles were involved in a crash in Elkhart County, leaving one with minor injuries on Saturday in Elkhart.

The crash took place on County Road 19 and County Road 20 around 9:06 p.m.

A 2018 Ford pickup truck was turning north on CR 19, onto CR 20. During this time, a 2008 Honda passenger car and another vehicle were allegedly speeding, heading towards this intersection, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office said.

A fourth vehicle, a 2007 Chevy pickup truck, was parked in a driveway of the 5800 block of CR 19.

The 2018 Ford allegedly failed to yield the right of way to the Honda and the third vehicle at the intersection, turning in front of the vehicles, according to deputies.

The 2008 Honda, swerved off the east side of the road to avoid the 2018 Ford, allegedly hit the parked Chevy and rolled over, deputies said.

The third vehicle swerved onto the west side of the roadway and allegedly sideswiped the 2018 Ford, according to the report.

The passenger of the 2008 Honda complained of elbow and jaw pain but was released from the scene.
