Four Winds Casinos seeking volunteers for invitational in June

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and its Four Winds Casinos are seeking 220 volunteers for the 2016 Four Winds Invitational.

The Four Winds® Invitational was established in 2012 as part of the Symetra® Tour - Road to the LPGA and features a field of professional women golfers from around the world.

They say they need volunteers for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts for all three days of the tournament.

The tournament is from Friday, June 17th through Sunday, June 19th at Blackthorn Golf Club, 6100 Nimtz Parkway in South Bend.

Volunteers are needed to fill the roles of caddies, cart and shuttle drivers, driving range assistants, food and beverage servers, marshals, spotters, scorers, and standard bearers.

All selected volunteers must be at least 16 years of age prior to June 1.

They are required to pay a $25 fee by June 1, and will receive a tournament polo shirt, hat, and one round of golf at Blackthorn Golf Club.

They say food and beverages will also be provided to volunteers on each day of service. Volunteers must attend a training session and complete nine total hours of service before receiving their free round of golf.

Volunteers are also needed for the Four Winds Invitational 5k race on Sunday morning, June 19th.
