Free emergency food distribution planned Thursday in Elkhart

Hunger Ends Here

ELKHART, Ind. —  As a result of recent record-breaking storm damage and power outages that left many families without refrigerated and frozen food, the Hunger Ends Here partners have received a significant increase in calls, messages, and requests for assistance from residents who are still struggling to replace what was lost.

As a result, emergency food assistance efforts have been taking place across Elkhart County. To help meet the need, volunteers spent Wednesday packing 500 additional emergency food boxes that will be distributed during a free drive-thru food distribution on Thursday.
