Rebuilding Together St Joseph County SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Rebuilding Together St. Joseph County announced the opening of home repair application for eligible homeowners for the 2026 program. Applications are now open for free home repair program in South Bend. The priority is given to elderly, veterans and or disabled homeowners that are within federal household income limits and live within the target neighborhood boundaries.
Repairs vary depending on the home, but typically could include roof and gutters, water heater, furnace, plumbing, electrical and smaller handy man repairs. Funding for this program is limited and not everyone who submits an application will receive assistance from this program. Rental homes are not eligible.
Rebuilding Together SJC will be focusing on homes located within Southeast and Erskine Park neighborhoods. This year’s designated area is the River Park Neighborhood in South Bend. Those outside of these boundary lines will not be considered.
The deadline to submit the application with all required documents is Nov. 15. Applications and a map of the target area are available online.
