SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Looking at Notre Dame eight games into the season, some things are a given.
"Our ability to run the ball is something that we have to be able to do." said Head Coach Marcus Freeman.
With more than 1700 rushing yards and an average of 216 yards per game and 26 touchdowns, ABC57 Kickoff's LeVon Whittaker says the Irish are running the ball at will.
Through eight games, the option has been chosen for Notre Dame. With the number of injuries the Irish have suffered to key players, the hard route has been a one-way street, and they’ve been able to see it through with the production on both sides of the ball.
"That’s why I always say, keep the pain of NIU, because that’s a result of not having the right mindset." said Freeman.
Freeman calls it handling success. Doesn’t matter if the Irish are undefeated coming off the bye week or how bad Florida State has played this season.
