NAPPANEE, Ind. -- The small town of Nappanee is set to go big to kick off the weekend with Friday Fest, a four-hour festival event spread throughout the downtown area.
The fun begins at 5 p.m. and runs through 9 p.m.
Included in the festivities are 40 different craft vendors, 17 food vendors, magic showcases, a pet fair, car show and more.
On top of regional vendors, various downtown businesses will also be staying open past normal hours and offering special deals for specifically for the event.
The festival is the first of three Friday Fest's to happen this Summer, with one happening on the third Friday of July and August as well.
Events Coordinator Michelle Weldy with Visit Nappanee is especially excited about what the festival does for the community.
"It brings everyone together. This is a small little community, and it just brings all the neighboring communities together for one night of just fun, entertainment and amazing foods." said Weldy.
