Friends actor Matthew Perry dies at age 54

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Beloved 90s sitcom actor Matthew Perry who warmed our hearts in 10 seasons of Friends has passed away.

According to TMZ, the 54-year-old Perry was found in a jacuzzi, with no drugs or foul play involved.

In recent years, the actor has been open about his drug and alcohol addiction during his rise to fame playing the iconic and lovable Chandler Bing in Friends.

He battled addiction frequently on set, discussing it with his five fellow cast members during the Friends reunion, which aired in May 2021.

Perry published his memoir New York Times Best-seller Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.

"No one can quite believe it. It is very odd to live in a world where if you died, it would shock people but surprise no one. What those three words--I am alive--fill me with, above all else is a sense of profound gratitude," writes Perry.

Matthew Perry will forever live in our hearts and on our screens in re-runs.
