Fulton County man charged with Child Molesting

ROCHESTER, Ind. -- The Rochester Police Department reports an officer responded to the lobby of the Fulton County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 1 around 12:15 p.m. after being informed a group of people arrived to inform authorities about child molesting allegations.

The group of people identified the suspect as 26-year-old Cameron Cole. The group of people included Cole's family members.

Cole was arrested and charged with Child Molesting, a Level 1 Felony.

Police were informed Cole had allegedly molested one of his young relatives on several occasions.

During the investigation, detectives interviewed the victim who informed them Cole had touched them.

When Cole was later interviewed and confronted with the allegations, he told police he suspected someone else had touched the child.

Court documents state the young victim's story was consistent during each of the multiple interviews. Cole agreed with police that no child that young could or would use their imaginations to create these accusations, according to official documents.

Cole's next court date is Sept. 8.
